New Players Welcome to Paizo Organized Play

Pathfinder Society

Welcome to Paizo Organized Play!

Paizo Organized Play is an organized system of playing Pathfinder Role Playing Game, Starfinder Role Playing Game, and Pathfinder Adventure Card Game around the world and online. You’re on your way to fantastical adventures with a community of thousands of players.

You’ll want to create your account and register your player number at https://paizo.com/organizedplay/myAccount. If you’ve already played a game in organized play, your Game Master or Event Coordinator should have given you a card with a Player Number and a confirmation code. You’ll enter that information in the box on the left. If not, click the box on the right to generate an Organized Play number on your own. This number will keep track of all your characters and all the games they play. It will track your experience, fame and reputation, and track how your characters’ actions influence the game worlds as the story continues, so make sure you don’t lose it!

You’ll also want to read the Pathfinder 2nd Edition, Starfinder, Pathfinder 1st Edition, and Pathfinder Adventure Card Society Guild Guides to Organized Play located on their respective pages of this site.. These will include all the guidelines and rules for creating legal characters for organized play, as well as outline code of conduct expected at all events. If you have any questions, feel free to ask your event coordinator, or any of the Regional Venture Coordinators.

All characters must have legally obtained source material to support their play. Your favorite local gaming stores will have plenty of books to help you build your first character. If you prefer PDFs, you can purchase them from https://paizo.com/ , just make sure you bring copies of them with you on a tablet or laptop. While character builders are helpful tools for making characters, they alone do not count as legal sources for character creation.

Now that you have your character, your player number, and your source material, you’ll want to find some games. The Regional Venture Coordinators can help direct you to a local contact, or you can search for games on Warhorn. Register for your local lodge, and start signing up for games. The home page for the Warhorn site should also have links to other ways to socialize with the local community, such as Facebook, Discord or Slack channels they may have set up.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the local Venture Officers. They’ll be happy to help you build characters, find games, and ensure you’re having an enjoyable and safe gaming experience.

Until next time: Explore! Report! Cooperate!
